welcome to Altrairlanda first of all,it's great to have someone Irish in here,even though you've got Italian blood as well (and you could tell by the way you got passionate writing... )

Absolutely true,sometimes we need real Irish to remind us of how many problems,difficulties,non-spoken topics are often forgotten when talking about Ireland and its beautiful landscape,legends, drinks and people...Nobody is perfect,nowhere is perfect.
Even Ireland,that we all love so much,has many many faults.

You are totally right when you say that someone on the website sounds very "saputello",talking about music or something else about Ireland,sometimes having never lived there either..
But I can assure you,they dont do it on purpose...They really have a big passion about your Country,and they just want to share this love and knowledge with someone else..and here,they can!!There's lots of lovely people here,that I'm sure you'd love to meet,if you happen to be in Italy at a session or meeting,or even in Ireland...

Oh by the way,I live in Dublin with my Dublin fella,so I think I know a little bit more now,about the Irish society,and being a tour guide I travelled a lot in the Country..
and I can honestly say you're completely right in what you say.
Violence,alcoholics,ignorance,delinquence...
I know this very well.
But SORRY,DEAR,I still love Ireland and respect your country too much to be talking about this horrible sides on this website ALL the time.I prefere to invite people over,charming them by telling them how gorgeous and magic it is.
And it's not a LIE.....it's only half of the coin!
I'd rather be positive talking about Ireland,and let people discover the negative sides by themselves.

At the end of the day,as I said,nobody's perfect,and we ALL KNOW.
And Italy,dear Caireann,is faaaaaaaaaaaaar from perfect!
