Performance with Live Screening of this Classic Irish Film.

"Irish Destiny" is one of the greatest and most historically significant silent films made in Ireland. Produced to mark the 90th anniversary of the Easter Rising, it is a love-story pitted against a back-drop of the Irish War of Independence which contains actual newsreel footage of the black and tans, the burning of Cork and the burning of the Customs House.

This live screening of Irish Destiny will be accompanied by Mícheál O Súilleabháin's specially commissioned score for the film, performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra conducted by Proinnsías Ó Duinn.

The concert will also include a selection of Mícheál O Súilleabháin's most popular piano pieces directed and led by the composer.

Iron Maiden have announced that they will play Dublin as part of the European Leg of their World Tour this winter.

The sextet will play Dublin's Point Theatre on 20 December, with rising metal stars Trivium confirmed as special guests for the tour.

Tickets for the Dublin show, priced from €54.25, will go on sale on Saturday 25 March at 9am.

Radiohead tickets on sale next week
Tickets for Radiohead's Marlay Park show in Dublin on 24 August will go on sale on Friday 31 March at 8am.

Tickets are priced at €55.50, booking fee included.

Radiohead's special guest at the show will be Beck.

In a statement about their upcoming tour, Radiohead said: "To keep things more fun and spontaneous, we will be playing new songs that are work in progress. We will also be releasing music to download when we are excited about it, rather than wait 12 months for a full-blown album release."

Billy Joel has confirmed a concert date at Dublin's Croke Park on Saturday 29 July.

This exclusive Irish date is part of Joel's first major solo concert tour in eight years.

His sold-out North American tour has included a record-breaking 12-show run at New York's Madison Square Gardens, playing hits like 'Piano Man', 'Only the Good Die Young', 'We Didn't Start the Fire' and 'River of Dreams.

Pearl Jam will warm up for their appearance at this year's Reading Festival, and begin their European tour, with a concert in Dublin in August.

They will play the Point Theatre on Wednesday 23 August; it will be their first Irish show in six years.

Tickets will go on sale on Saturday 29 April from outlets nationwide and are limited to four per person.

Pearl Jam's new eponymous album is released next week.

I biglietti li hanno esauriti in 12 ore, si trova qualcosina (siamo a livello di bagarinaggio) forse su e.bay o su forum musicali...

Ho letto giusto ieri su HotPress che gli organizzatori invitavano tutti a fare molta attenzione ai biglietti falsi... ocio

Il festival si tiene a Punchestown, nella contea di Kildare, dalle parti di Naas. 40 km da Dublino.

Campeggiare non è obbligatorio, ma ti evita gli enormi problemi di traffico.

From the M50 motorway, exit onto N7 Junction 9 (signposted for The South, Limerick, Cork, Waterford).
At the R445 Junction with M7 branch left onto R445 (signposted for Naas).
Continue towards the centre of Naas on the R411.
At the first set of traffic lights, turn left, signposted for Blessington and Punchestown R410.
Continue for approx. 2 miles and turn right at crossroads (5 road junction).
Punchestown Racecourse is situated on this road (Woolpack Road) just under 1 mile from junction on the left handside. The are two racecourse entrances.

Snow Patrol, who appeared at a sold-out show in Dublin Castle this weekend, have just confirmed a summer concert at Marlay Park.

The band will play the open-air concert on Saturday 19 August.

Snow Patrol's new album, 'Eyes Open', the follow-up to 2004's two million-selling 'Final Straw', was released on Friday.

Tickets, priced €44.50, will go on sale from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide on Friday 12 May at 9am.

se i miei piani non subiscono una nuova variazione, dovrei essere a Dublino in tempo per vedere i Depeche Mode. Ho dato un'occhiata su ticketmaster.ie ma ancora i biglietti non sono in vendita, mi consigliate di prenderli su internet appena li mettono in vendita (sempre che me lo spediscano in Italia) o sperare di trovarlo direttamente lì?
