The GP Visit Card
The GP Visit Card is a new initiative providing free access to Family Doctor services.
We are now accepting applications for this initiative - you can make applications for a GP Visit Card at your local health office or health centre, and the application forms are also available to download here (click here to download the application form).
Please note that completed forms should be sent to your local Health Office / Centre.
Those who are eligible will be able to visit their General Practitioner (GP) without charge, and eligibility will be decided by a means test.
The assessment process will be based on the income of the applicant, and spouse if any, after Tax and PRSI have been deducted
Reasonable expenses incurred in respect of childcare costs will be allowed
Reasonable expenses incurred on rent/mortgage payments will be allowed
Reasonable expenses incurred in travel to work will be allowed
