Good news: gli affitti scendono

dopo anni di prezzi alle stelle e acommodation praticamente introvabili, arrivano le buone notizie accompagnate dallo sgonfiamento della bolla edilizia e della speculazione che camminava di pari passo.

I prezzi degli affitti sono tornati ad essere in media quelli di 10 anni fa (anno 2000), oggi un affitto in media si assesta su €775 al mese (penso che si riferisca ad una casa)

The Dublin rental market has seen reductions of 5 per cent in the past three months, and is now lower than in the first quarter of 2000. In the city centre, rents have fallen 26.1 per cent from their peak and 21.3 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2008, at an average of €924 per month

Outside Dublin, rents in cities have fallen 19.5 per cent from the peak. The one city to buck the trend is Galway, where rents are static, showing a small increase of 0.4 per cent for the quarter. The city has seen rents fall 15.6 per cent from peak values.

This compares to Cork, where rents have fallen 21.5 per cent from their peak; Limerick, which has seen a 21.8 per cent fall; and Waterford, which has declined 19 per cent.

Il tutto si spiega anche grazie al numero di case/stanze libere che e' incrementato alla grande, da Aprile 2008 ad Aprile 2009 ben 65100 persone hanno lasciato l'Irlanda causa recessione economica (ne restera' uno solo - cit.).

... ho dato un'occhiata su daft... sembra incredibile vedere annunci di single room a Phisborough a 300€ al mese... l'ultima volt che ho cercato casa, in quel quartiere si parlava non meno di 470/500 € . Ricordo quando sono andato via, sentivo addirittura di picchi a 600...
