    i Dodgy tornano insieme
    una volta tanto una buona notizia
    Grandi feste tra i nostalgici fans per la notizia della riunione dei Dodgy, band attiva circa un decennio fa nella scena 'brit-pop' che ha raccolto molto meno di quanto avrebbe meritato.

    Nigel Clark (voce e basso), Matthew Priest (batteria), e Andy Miller (chitarra), ovvero la line-up originale, torneranno a suonare insieme a novembre, per un tour che toccherà Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Northampton, Bristol e Londra. Non ci sono notizie circa la realizzazione di un nuovo disco.

    I Dodgy avevano pubblicato tre album: 'The Dodgy Album' (1993), 'Homegrown' (1995, il migliore) e 'Free Peace Sweet' (1996). Nel 1998 il frontman e principale compositore Nigel Clark lasciò il gruppo, che andò avanti con una nuova line-up fino al 2001, quando realizzò l'LP 'Real Estate!' e poi si sciolse definitivamente.

    Tra le canzoni più significative dei Dodgy, ricordiamo le solari 'Staying Out For The Summer', 'Making The Most Of', 'In A Room' e soprattutto 'Good Enough'.

    Quasi per caso sono stato al concerto dei Tool, di cui avevo ascoltato solo pochi pezzi.
    Un ottimo mix di rock, metal, progressive e psichedelia simil Pink Floyd.
    Ad agosto saranno inizierà il loro toor europeo, non so se vengono anche in Italia.

    La mia prima musicassetta (sapete , quegli strani involucri di plastica con un all'interno due curiose fessure ed un nastro marrone) fu proprio degli Housemartins
    grande band
    a tal proposito segnalo le BBC sessions dei Beautiful South , gruppo sorto per volere di uno dei membri fondatori degli Housemartins (non il celeberrimo FBS )
