NSPCC goes Christmas Crackers with Festive FLutes

A performance from top flautists group 'Festive Flutes', is being held in St Columb's Cathedral, Derry on Tuesday 5 December from 7.30pm in support of the NSPCC.

Kevin Murphy from Music55-7, who is helping to organise the event, said: "We are issuing an open invitation to people from the local community to support what promises to be a great event."

"For a perfect introduction to the festive season join the NSPCC for an entertaining evening in the company of some of the UK's leading flautists. Festive Flutes, a group of four girls and a multitude of flutes who recently celebrated their 20 th year together, will bring a programme of favourite Christmas and popular melodies suitable for all age groups. Whether you are into Bach or The Beatles, or if you enjoy The Nutcracker Suite or Embraceable You, Festive Flutes will be an early Christmas treat."

Admission is free, and a collection will be taken up at the end of the performance to support the NSPCC's local work with vulnerable children and young people.

(NSPCC Northern Ireland provides a number of therapeutic and listening services across Northern Ireland for children and young people who have been abused. These include Independent School Counselling, Young Witness, Family Support, Treatment Teams, Independent Visiting and ChildLine.)
