Shine on you Crazy Diamond- E' morto Syd Barrett

Ancora inebriato dalla gioia di questi giorni un sms malvagio mi ha svegliato e riportato alla realtà nel peggiore dei modi... Diceva: "E' morto Syd, il nostro Syd..." Non capivo o forse non volevo capire, stava parlando prorpio di lui o è uno scherzo!!!
Telecomando in mano cerco il canale 500 di Sky per acchiappare qualche ultim'ora, ma invano e così trasloco sul mio mac e.... tutto vero!! Syd Barrett ci ha lasciato!
Frastornato e abbattutto cerco di condividere questi attimi con gli amici di sempre, con quelli a cui Syd Barrett è significato qualcosa di più del semplice leader dei primi Pink Floyd.
Syd Barret è stato uno dei creativi più geniali della storia della musica rock e uno dei suoi miti più grandi!
Fu l'anima eccentrica e idealista dei Floyd... il maggiore ispiratore del progetto! In pochi anni di carriera Syd scrisse e produsse brani che avrebbero segnato la musica a venire.
Ma Syd per molti di noi è stato soprattutto libertà, fantasia, pazzia ma soprattutto mistero...quel mistero che lo ha accompagnato durante tutta la sua vita, dopo aver lasciato i Pink Floyd si chiuse in sè stesso uscendo raramente dalla sua casa a Cambridge, in 30 anni voci e leggende hanno periodicamente accompagnato la sua esistenza!
In realtà Syd ci aveva lasciato già da anni...ma oggi il "Diamante Pazzo" ci ha definitivamente detto addio!!!

Musica, morto il Pink Floyd Syd Barrett

18.16 Syd Barrett, membro fondatore nel 1965 dei Pink Floyd, è morto. Lo ha reso noto una portavoce della vecchia band. Barrett aveva 60 anni. Figura di spicco del progressive rock inglese tra la fine degli anni '60 e i primi anni '70,il cantante e chitarrista aveva lasciato il gruppo nel 1968. Negli ultimi 30 anni è stato lontano dalle scene e viveva da solo a Cambridge. Si sa che soffriva di diabete, ma le cause della morte non sono state rese note. "E' morto serenamente - ha detto la portavoce - Ci sarà un funerale privato per la famiglia".

Il nume dei Pink, il padre di un gran bel pezzo della musica che abbiamo amato, vissuto, discusso, odiato, per la quale ci siamo incazzati, abbiamo pianto e riso, con la quale abbiamo viaggiato restando fermi, e siamo stati fermi viaggiando, ci siamo innamorati e lasciati, abbiamo scopato e abbiamo anche fatto cilecca .............................................., non è più fisicamente su questa terra.
Good by crazy diamond, good by da noi, e con noi intendo quelli della mia generazione, quelli che hanno avuto Syd e i Pink al fianco al loro inizio musicale e a al nostro inizio della vita, e scusate se sono esclusivo, ma quelli venuti dopo hanno trovato tanto già fatto, noi le abbiamo conquistate ci siamo battuti con le nostre famiglie ed il bigottismo, con i professori e i caramba, e (cazzo stanno trasmettendo shine e piango) basta non ce la faccio più.
Scusate la retorica ma è una cosa di quelle che riaprono vecchie ferite che credevamo chiuse e che invece non appena capita l'occasione sono lì a farti male, ma anche a farti risentire cose dell'anima che credevi di avere perso.

a correre e correre sempre sugli stessi vecchi terreni cosa abbiamo trovato? le stesse vecchie paure...

Grandiiiiiii!!!!!!!!

Proprio ieri, prima di apprendere la notizia, riascoltavo la bellissima, toccante "Learning to fly"... Non mi ritengo un' esperta conoscitrice dei Pink, ma dinanzi ad un' anima geniale e fragile che si spegne, non ci resta che fare silenzio e far parlare la musica!!!
