    Il ritorno dei The Villagers ;)

    In uscita il 21 settembre 2018, The Art Of Pretending To Swim è l’album di Conor O’Brien in arte Villagers che segue a distanza di 2 anni la raccolta Where Have You Been All My Life? e il terzo album Darling Arithmetic. Prodotto, mixato e principalmente eseguito da Conor O’Brien nel suo studio a Dublino, l’album racconta di paure e speranze ricollegandosi per certi versi al debutto Becoming A Jackal. Ad anticiparlo il videoclip relativo al brano A Trick Of The Light diretto da Bob Gallagher. Riguardo alla collaborazione con il regista Conor ha affermato: «Io e Bob ci siamo incontrati per discutere delle tematiche e siamo giunti alla conclusione che l’unica opzione fosse quella di creare un cortometraggio nel quale seguiamo un protagonista trasandato e sciamanico che misteriosamente innesca uno stato mentale alterato nella coscienza di tutti coloro che incontra, o almeno pensa di farlo»·

    nuovo EP di sei tracce per il dublinese classe 75 David Kitt

    Not long after his last LP Yous, Irish singer songwriter David Kitt is to drop a new EP entitled Like Lightning.

    The six-track extended play will be available through All City Records on 10″ vinyl and digital on Friday 14th September. It's title derives from the song of the name which appeared on his previous release.

    Speaking about the EP's relationship with the track, Kitt said in a statement: "'Like Lightning' was written after a late night/early morning adventure with friends in Galway city a good few years ago now. I always find it hard to choose singles, but this seemed to be lot of people's favourite album track.

    "I've availed of every last second of space on the 10 inch to turn this release into a mini-album of sorts, with three quite different instrumentals: one part folk, one part modular electronic and one recorded using two Buddah boxes in the Glasgow underground. There are also two unreleased songs I think fit nicely on this release.
