Tim Robbins to film movie in Belfast
Oscar winning actor Tim Robbins is to begin shooting for his new movie in Belfast next month.
Filming has already begun in Madrid on 'The Secret Life of Words', a movie about life on a North Sea oil rig.
Robbins will travel to Belfast with fellow cast members to shoot scenes aboard an oil rig at Harland and Wolff Shipyard. He plays a debilitated worker, suffering from extreme burns and temporary blindness in the upcoming movie.
'The Secret Life of Words', which has a budget of €4m, is being directed by Isabel Coixet.
Northern Ireland Film and Television Commission chief executive, Richard Williams, has described the decision to film in Belfast as a massive boost to the Northern Ireland film industry.
"It's very exciting that we're getting such an eclectic mix of films coming to shoot in Northern Ireland," he said.
