Andrea Bocelli is a true phenomenon. The manner in which the voice of one man captured the hearts of music lovers across five continents, is truly unprecedented
1996 was probably when most of the English speaking world came to hear the voice of Andrea Bocelli . The melody of "Con te partirò" (written by Francesco Sartori and Lucio Quarantotto) and its duet arrangement "Time To Say Goodbye", with Sarah Brightman, captured the imagination of the European public. Following the success of his first three albums in Italy, the contemporary album "Romanza" became Andrea Bocelli's international debut release. In just twelve months, "Romanza" transformed Bocelli into one of the globe's most popular recording artists. Conquering Europe, "Romanza" was released throughout 1997 in North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia & New Zealand. "Romanza" has sold over 15 million copies to date, introducing millions of the world's music lovers to the passionate voice of Andrea Bocelli. Andrea Bocelli has since acquainted them with his passion for opera.
In just five years since the Italian public were introduced to the voice of Andrea Bocelli, through his remarkable triumph at the Sanremo Festival, this amazing talent has become the biggest selling classical performer to emerge in several decades. His two classical discs, "Viaggio Italiano" and "Aria", have achieved international success. ........E a chi non piace.......pazienza!!!

Non amo particolamente Andrea Bocelli e le sue canzoni ma posso darvi qualche chicca dato che il Bocelli è nato vicino a Pontedera, una zona nella periferia di Pisa non nota sicuramente per la classe dei suoi abitanti, ma pù per la presenza della Piaggio. Si quella dei motorini.

E diciamo che le mie origini non sono cosi lontane dalle sue.

Mia cugina: Ma lo sai che Andrea Bocelli cantava al ristorante di mio zio a Pontedera prima di diventare famoso? Ha anche cantato, tipo per 150 mila lire al matrimonio dello zio Francesco, ma te non te lo ricordi perchè eri piccino.

I giornali della Toscana: Perquisita ancora la villa di Forte dei Marmi di Andrea Bocelli relativamente alle accuse di evasione fiscale.

Il Bocelli ha poi acquistato una attività commerciale a 200 metri dalla casa di mia zia la quale mi dice spesso che lo vede arrivare "su una mercedes lunga di qui a la" per parlare con i gestori del suddetto locale.

Con tutto questo non voglio toccare il personaggio, l'artista. Solo ricordare che è un uomo e che come tale si comporta, nel bene e nel male.

Ammetto che sia un vero fenomeno e fa ovviamente sorridere averlo conosciuto prima quando cantava ai matrimoni per pochi soldi, e vederlo adesso.

Quindi mi complimento con chi ha avuto l'idea di farlo cantare a Cork e con lui per avere accettato.

Speriamo che il vento freddo di Cork non gli faccia prendere un mal di gola estivo.
