Keeping fit rather than body building. He is a keen jogger and likes to stay in condition by exercising and watching what he eats. His day starts with six weetabix, the whites of four eggs and fresh fruit.
A cancer scare when he was 19 changed Padraidh's outlook on life. He took leave of absence from Superquinn in Ballinteer, Dublin, where he worked in management and joined British Airways as a steward. His travels have taken him all over the world and two years ago he presented the St Patrick's Day Show in Uganda. He flies in from Hong Kong this week, to prepare for Mr World 2000.
Highlights of Career: - Cameo role in Neil Jordan's movie on Michael Collins and has his sights set on Tinseltown.
- hit the headlines last year when Pat Kenny launched a nationwide search for him on behalf of an American girl. Debbie Lee from Richmond Virginia had met Padraidh for a mere four hours in a nightclub in Caracas and thought the world of him.
The final of the Mr. World 2000 Pageant took place from 7th to 14th October last. In the build up to the week long event, the finalists were filmed at the exclusive 900 acre Crieff Hydro Hotel taking part in various sporting activities: running, water rapids, jet skies, golf tennis and special car racing. They also spent one day at Knockhill Motor Racing Circuit before the final, which took place on board the Royal Yacht Britannia.
