THE Arctic Monkeys have been compared to Oasis in many ways since bursting onto the music scene. And now it seems they have something else in common - a love of watching Celtic.
The Gallagher brothers are long-time fans of the Glasgow football club, and have been seen a few times at Parkhead.
Now it appears their young pretenders from Sheffield are also fans of the Hoops.
The Arctic Monkeys are in Scotland later this month for the Shockwaves NME tour and are desperate to get to a game.
A friend of the band told the Razz: "Any time they visit Glasgow it seems to be the day before or just after a game.
"They do have a soft spot for Celtic because one of the guys they tour with is a big fan. If there is a way they can make a they will be disappointed.
They band will join Maximo Park, We Are Scientists, and Mystery Jets at Glasgow's Carling Academy on Friday, January 27 and the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh the next night.
Celtic take on Dundee United at Parkhead on the Saturday but it looks like the band's schedule will be too tight for them to make the game.
The Monkeys - Alex Turner, Andy Nicholson, Matt Helders and guitarist Jamie Cook - are football daft and have even been known to play keepie-uppie backstage.
