Corcoran's Arms of Steel
Banter Buckley

Every Cork hurling match has become a test of the laws of physics as Cork become hurling’s answer to Brazillian soccer skill: the extraordinary length of John Gardiner’s pucks, the acute angles of Ben’s points, the speed of Roadrunner Kenny and the iron claw of Ronan Curran.

The veteran pairing of Brian Corcoran and Clare’s Brian Lohan in the Munster semi final decider has thrown up some new interesting scientific debates about the composition of human muscle.

Physicists and biologists were meeting at UCC this morning to discuss speculation that it is possible for a human being to train so hard that their body muscle actually turns to steel.

Scientists from around the world will watch footage and study photographs like this one that suggest Brian Corcoran has trained so hard that his entire upper body has become impenetrable to all materials – even the toughened stick of ash wielded by Clare full back Brian Lohan.

Even though Dublin and Limerick are unlikely to meet Cork in the Championship for reasons we don’t need to go into it is suspected by experts that Corcoran’s frame could withstand gunfire from gangsters from either of the island’s two gun cities – something that isn’t entirely unlikely given the surge in armed assaults in recent times.

Corcoran was on crutches after mangling his knee in the win over the Banner girls but remain calm. The move is said to be precautionary and he’ll be fit for the final despite initial concerns and a trip to the hospital.

We can exclusively reveal that radiologists had trouble adjusting their equipment to take a scan of Corcoran’s knee - the Cork legend’s skin and muscles are so thick that depleted uranium had to be shipped in from Iran (Corcoran’s fan base knows no cultural or religious divides) to muster up enough radiation to allow doctors to see inside the Erin’s Own stars body.

This is not the first time we have shown Cork players to be made of something super human. By deduction we proved last season that there is no way the O’Connor twins could be anything expect robots or cyborgs such is their pin point accuracy, pace and work rate.

It has been suggested that Corcoran might have lost his battle against his marker in the Clare game last summer but he sure turned that around this time as he ran rings around old timer Brian Lohan scoring two superb points from play proving his worth not just as a great motivator but as a hugely skilful player with plenty pace...as well as having an armoured plated body.
