Tornando in topic, questi due ristoranti corkoniani sono stati inseriti dal Times nella lista dei migliori 10 in Irlanda
Flemings, Cork City, Co Cork
This elegant Georgian country house and hotel swathed in brocades and Louis XV-style chairs, gilt-framed portraits, and crystal chandeliers, also houses a large dining room. Owner-chef Michael Fleming changes the menu weekly, uses local meat and seafood (although ostrich has been known) and organic veg straight from the garden. Guinea fowl, sea bass and monkfish are given the classical French treatment.
Fishy Fishy Café, Kinsale, Co Cork
Forgive the bloke barging into you with a huge box, because it's fish, it's fresh and he's just been out at sea for the last 12 hours. You can see the boats arriving, see the fish coming in and then it's on your plate. Large fish tanks full of crustaceans beckon and there is always a queue. All you need is a nice Chablis, which they have. Simple the way it ought to be. |
